We’re Hiring: Retail Operations Coordinator

We’re looking for a Retail Operations Coordinator to join our small team in Shaw, Oldham, working across Crossbows.co.uk and our other online retail businesses.

As the business grows, we’re expanding the team to give customer service and order processing the attention they need. This is a hands-on role for someone organised, approachable and happy working in a busy online retail environment.

The essentials

• Salary: £27,000 per year
• Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch)
• Permanent role
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Equivalent hourly rate: approximately £13.85
• Location: Shaw, Oldham, OL2
• In person at our premises

About the role

Customer service is an important part of the job. You’ll be answering phone calls and emails, helping with order enquiries and after-sales support, and working with colleagues to get things sorted.

You’ll also help with the day-to-day running of our online retail operations. We’re a small team, so being organised, keeping track of outstanding tasks and being willing to pitch in all matter.

About you

You’re great with customers. You listen, explain things clearly and stay patient when someone needs extra help. If a customer has a problem, you take ownership and follow it through.

You’re proficient on a computer. You’re comfortable with email and everyday computer tasks, can find and enter information accurately, and are willing to learn new systems.

You communicate well. A friendly telephone manner and clear, well-written emails are essential. You don’t need to write an essay—you do need to give customers helpful, understandable answers.

You’re organised and reliable. You can move between tasks without losing track of what needs doing, pay attention to detail and work well with the people around you.
